Answers to Questions About Summer Camp

How old must my child be to attend Summer Fun?

Children must be two years old by Dec. 31 2021 (and not older than five by the first day of Summer Fun). Children must also be toilet trained.

When and how often is camp offered?

Camp is offered in six one-week sessions. There is no camp on July 4.

How often can I register my child for Summer Fun?

You can register by the week, choosing any combination of the 6 weeks offered.

What are the camp hours?

Camp hours are 9:30 am - 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

What should my child wear to Summer Fun each day?

The camp program will include water play (water tables and sprinklers) every day, weather permitting. Children should bring a bathing suit and towel, a mid-morning snack, and a lunch for themselves.

Is food provided?

Each child brings their own mid-morning snack and lunch. A frozen treat is provided daily.

Are there any food restrictions?

No, BNS is does not have restrictions on food that may be brought in. However, we are experienced with accommodating allergies. Please contact the Director with additional questions.

How many children attend Summer Fun and what is the teacher to child ratio?

There will be one class offered with a maximum of 16 children (and minimum of eight). There is one teacher, one aide and several teen helpers. If enrollment is lower than eight children, Summer Fun is subject to cancel, with reimbursement.

What happens if Summer Fun is cancelled?

It is rare that Summer Fun must the cancelled. However, if Summer Fun is canceled due to a local emergency, such as a storm and power outage, there will be no reimbursement.

Does Summer Fun require any parental participation?

No.
