Community

A sense of community is at the heart of our cooperative nursery school, and that community naturally enriches relationships among families. 290x167_child_mom.jpgBy co-oping in your child’s classroom, you help the professional staff while gaining a greater awareness of your child's and her classmates’ personalities. This natural bonding between adult and child is extended also to the other co-oping parent. BNS also gears social events for the parents and for the family throughout the year to become better acquainted.

As a cooperative school there are additional duties that families perform to keep costs down and the school running smoothly. You will be asked to donate your time and expertise to serve on one of the various committees and you will be asked to help with cleaning and packing chores. While many BNS families have a parent who works at home, co-oping and the additional assignments are also possible with two parents working in the professional arenas.

This is not a school where you or your child will go unnoticed. Joining BNS is an enriching experience for the child and family alike.
