Admissions

290x167_trikes.jpgBannockburn Nursery School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin in the admission of students or the hiring of staff and appointment of board members. Each new applicant for admission must complete a new student application form and submit it to the membership chairperson with a $60 application fee.

In the event that there are more applicants than places available, a system of priorities is set forth in the school’s bylaws. For example, priority is given to members who have had children in the school, to children in the Bannockburn Elementary School District, and to residents of the Bannockburn community. All priorities must be exercised by December 15th.

Applicants after that date will be admitted or placed on the waiting list according to the date their applications are received. BNS reserves the right to balance classes by gender.

Application Fee

$60 – New students/prospective applicants

$30 – Currently enrolled students returning for the next year

Tuition

Our tuition fees include the daily cleaning of the school, funding for our financial aid program, on-premises activities sponsored during the school day, and a fee to the Bannockburn Community Club who oversees the management of the building and school grounds. Your family receives associated benefits in the Bannockburn community with enrollment in BNS.

Each year a very small number of limited co-op positions are available for a higher tuition. Limited co-op parents or guardians are only required to co-op two times in a six-week period and are never scheduled as substitutes.  Please contact the Membership Chair for more information about the Limited Co-op Option.

In addition to the $60 new student application fee due at the time of application, a $300 tuition deposit is due within two weeks of the date on the acceptance letter to secure your child’s place in the designated class.  The remaining tuition is paid (unless alternative arrangements are made) in four installments.  For illustration purposes, the tuition schedule for the 2011-2012 school year is shown below.
